Yongxing County Civil Affairs Bureau held a training course for child directors in the villages (communities) and 274 village (community) child directors in Yongxing County participated in the training.
The purpose of this training was to enhance the comprehensive literacy and professional ability of the child directors in Yongxing County, enhance the professionalism of caring for and protecting children, further improve the service system for left-behind children and children in distress in rural areas, promote the smooth progress of the care and protection, and strive to achieve the goal of making left-behind children and children in distress grow up healthily and happily.
Teachers of Aixin Social Works Station in Chenzhou City were invited to give lectures, ask questions and interact in class, explained the policy basis, working methods and characteristics of children's care and protection for left-behind children and children in distress in detail in plain and easy-to-understand language, analyzed the social work for children, the responsibilities of child directors, the main functions of Children's Home, etc. In the training course, through case analysis, simulation exercises and other ways, the child directors who participated in the training mastered the new knowledge and new methods of caring for the left-behind children and the children in distress. The trainees took notes carefully, asked questions enthusiastically and took part in the learning knowledge test.
The child directors who participated in the training said: "This kind of training, combining theory with practice, not only has deepened the in-depth understanding of children's welfare policy, but also improved the level of service. Through training and learning, we can give full play to the important role of child directors in children's welfare work, and better serve the children in distress and left-behind children."
