Recently, the reporter learned from the office of Chenzhou urban domestic waste classification leading group that the first fully intelligent demonstration community of domestic waste classification has been built in Renmin Road, Beihu District. 

On January 4, the reporter walked into Bubugao Community, a demonstration community of garbage classification in Renmin Road, Beihu District. Slogans and billboards of domestic garbage classification can be seen everywhere in the community. At the entrance of each residential building, there is a neat and clean container for kitchen waste and other garbage. In the prominent position of the residential building in the community, there are also recyclable and harmful garbage bins, and a smart exchange box beside.

Deng Weiguang, Commercial Director of Changsha Zoomlion Environmental Industry Co., Ltd., introduced that these garbage boxes are all intelligent boxes. Residents can open the intelligent box to throw garbage through the QR code generated by IC card or wechat app, or open the box through the garbage bag with QR code label. Once the intelligent box is full of garbage, the intelligent system of the box can automatically remind the staff to clean up the garbage, and then treat it according to different types of garbage. Other garbage will be transported to the domestic waste incineration power plant for incineration and power generation. Perishable garbage such as kitchen waste will be transported to the kitchen waste treatment site. Hazardous garbage will be managed according to the hazardous waste, and recyclable materials will enter the recycling station.

Yin Shuhua, Director of the Municipal Environmental Health Service Center, told reporters that after the intelligent box was installed in Bubugao Community, they carried out two rounds of publicity for more than 400 households in the community together with the streets and communities, and distributed publicity materials to the residents. At the same time, in order to improve the enthusiasm of residents in garbage classification, intelligent exchange boxes are set up in the community. After residents throw recyclable garbage such as glass, metal, plastic and paper in the recyclable box, the box will automatically weigh and exchange points according to the market price. After residents have accumulated enough points, they can exchange garbage bags with QR code labels on the intelligent exchange box.

"Although garbage sorting is a little troublesome, it can greatly improve the environment." Ms. Liu, a resident, said that compared with before, the health of the community was much better. In the past, all the garbage was put in a garbage can, and the stench could be smelled from a long distance. After the implementation of garbage classification, the environment of the community became clean and tidy." Garbage sorting is a good thing.
