Recently, Guiyang Chongling National Wetland Park, which not only has beautiful natural landscape, but also plays an active leading and promoting role in ecological civilization education, has won the title of "Hunan Ecological Civilization Education Base" jointly awarded by Hunan Forestry Bureau, Provincial Education Department and Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, becoming one of the 10 provincial ecological civilization education bases in the province.

At present, there are 782 species of wetland plants in the park, including 2 species of national class I protected plants and 13 species of national class II protected plants; 224 species of wild vertebrates, including 19 species of national class II protected animals. There are nearly 20000 migratory birds wintering in Chongling Wetland every year, including mandarin duck, grey crane, common bunting, white tailed harrier and other rare species. The abundant natural resources of Chongling National Wetland Park provide convenient natural conditions for close viewing, understanding wild animals and plants, immersive understanding and learning wetland ecological science knowledge.

The Management Office of Chongling National Wetland Park has set up a professional management team of 20 people to continuously improve the professional quality and practical experience of the management personnel through the measures of "going out and inviting in", "book learning, training", "practical training and martial arts competition"; has attracted cadres, workers, teachers, students and other people from all walks of life to establish a volunteer team for ecological civilization education, and build an atmosphere for the masses to spontaneously participate in ecological protection, wetland experience, and publicity and education activities; has cooperated with experts in Colleges and universities, establish a cooperation mechanism, and invite experts to guide ecological monitoring, protection, propaganda and education.

Chongling National Wetland Park has turned ecological civilization education into a "communicator" to establish the concept of harmonious development between man and nature. It has established a propaganda and education center of more than 1100 square meters, built a 30 mu "Sheyuan small and micro wetland", set up ecological civilization education publicity columns covering parks, squares, schools, village groups and other densely populated areas, formed a distinctive ecological civilization publicity system, and opened the ecological civilization education platform. In addition, it has also provided multi-channel education carriers such as wetland nature school. At the same time, it has adhered to the principle of "people to promote" and launch ecological civilization education activities in an all-round way. In addition to carrying out a number of publicity activities such as "World Wetland Day", "World Water Day · China Water Week", "Bird Loving Week" and "Wetland Scenery Photography Competition" more than 10 times a year, they also hold "wetland knowledge into campus" and "wetland protection · start from me" in combination with the first lesson of school and research in winter and summer vacation. Activities such as "ten thousand signatures", "wetland composition contest for primary and secondary school students" focus on popularizing ecological science knowledge among minors. At the same time, by taking advantage of the opportunity of targeted poverty alleviation, through tea party, market day and other popular activities, the ecological protection knowledge will be brought to help village groups, and the wetland culture and ecological civilization education concept will be popularized among the grassroots.
