Teachers and students from Zixing Vocational Technical College were full of praise for the dough modelling work “Liuhuawan Village-the site of soviet government in Zixing county”.

This dough modelling work was made by a teacher named Yang Zuolin and 5 students from the pastry class of the college. It is 2 meters long and 1.4 meters wide, created according to the former site of soviet government - Liuhuawan Village, in Sandu Town, Zixing city, in which the houses are made in a ratio of 40:1. We can clearly see the magnificent Hui-style old village, the characters of Liuhuawan Village on the plaque, the piling marbles, the swimming fishes, blooming lotus flowers and green lotus leaves in the pool. It looks like a miniature version of Liuhuawan Village.

Since the start of the learning and education of Party’s history in Zixing, teachers and students from Zixing Vocational Technical College have been organized to learn the history of the party at the site of soviet government in Zixing. After learning about the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs in Zixing, Yang came up with the idea of making a dough modeling to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Later, Yang went to Liuhuawan Village for three times and observed it carefully. Yang and five students started the work in late March. To complete this work, they made full use of the spare time and made tremendous efforts in selecting the materials, moulding and coloring. Finally, after hundreds of attempts, they finished the work.

“We hope to present the red culture of Zixing with our dough modeling skills.” Yang said that later this work would participate in the secondary vocational students' talent competition held by Education Department of Hunan Province, which will help spread the red culture of Zixing while showing the skills of teachers and students.
