May 19 marks the 11th China Tourism Day, on which Chenzhou City launched relevant publicity activities and a theme activity of “inheriting revolutionary spirit, enjoying a civilized tour”.
In this activity, Chenzhou Promotion Association for Tourism & Cultural Industry launched 24 high-quality travel routes, and it also promoted the Chenzhou All-for-one Tourism Card and cashed the ticket shares.
From June 21, 2020 to May 10 this year, a total of 19,275 all-for-one tourism cards have been issued. Since this travel card was put on sale on May 7, 2018, it has contributed much to Chenzhou in building a demonstration area for inheriting revolutionary spirits and promoting green development, promoting the high-quality development of 100-billion-yuan cultural and tourism industry and the construction of a national cultural and tourism consumption pilot city.
By integrating Chenzhou’s high-quality cultural and tourism resources and giving full play to the leverage effect, the city’s cultural and tourism consumption was directly increased to nearly 60 million yuan and 4,786,700 yuan was paid to the scenic spots as dividends, which effectively helped scenic spots overcome difficulties.
What’s more, a ceremony was held to award the “Most Beautiful Revolution-themed Tour Guide” of Chenzhou City, and 10 award-winning guides and representatives of industry associations jointly issued the initiative of civilized and honest tourism in Chenzhou City.
Chenzhou vice mayor Zhou Hailin said in his speech that he hoped that a series of publicity activities held today would create a good atmosphere in Chenzhou, promote the influence and cohesion of Chenzhou’s cultural and tourism industry, and enhance civilized and safe tourism, as well as honest operation in Chenzhou. The cultural and tourism-related departments and industries should actively respond to the opportunities and challenges in the post-pandemic era and 5G era, promote the transformation and upgrading and high-quality development of cultural and tourism industry, so that the masses can share the fruits of high-quality development of cultural and tourism industry.
The theme of this year’s China Tourism Day is “green development, better life”. At present, Chenzhou is focusing on building a green development demonstration area for inheriting revolutionary spirit and promoting the high-quality development of 100-billion-yuan cultural and tourism industry and the construction of a national cultural and tourism consumption pilot city.
Last year, the city’s tourism arrivals and tourism revenue ranked 2nd in the province. During this year’s May Day holiday, the city received a total of 2.3555 million tourists of all kinds, and the total tourism revenue was 1.874 billion yuan, amounting to 117.6% and 128.2% of the same period in 2019 respectively.
The waterfront mountain-type scenic spots like Dongjiang Lake, Mangshan Mountain, Suxianling and Feitian Mountain were popular. The new tourism formats including quality homestays, camping and RV driving are booming, and the revolution-themed tourism attractions like Shazhou become well-known nationwide.
Chenzhou’s cultural tourism industry has made enormous progress in scale, quality and efficiency, ranking in the forefront of Hunan province and making contributions to the high-quality development of Chenzhou’s economy and society.
