The porcelain industry in Chonglingjiang Town, Guiyang County, originated in the Song Dynasty. Relying on the rich and high-quality clay resources, the traditional skills of hand-made porcelain have been passed down from generation to generation, and the local porcelain industry has thrived for thousands of years.
In recent years, porcelain firing in the town has developed from earthen kiln to roller kilns, shuttle kilns and box kilns using clean and environmental-friendly natural gas as fuel.
The production capacity has increased by 150%, and the annual output of one production line at full capacity can reach 3 million pieces of ceramics, with an output value of 30-50 million yuan. High intellectualization has also reduced the labor intensity.
At present, there are 8 ceramic enterprises in the town that have an annual capacity of more than 1.5 million pieces of ceramics and an output value of 25 million yuan. The whole industry in the town produces about 20 million pieces of ceramics, with an output value of 300 million yuan.
Their products are sold to over 20 provinces and other countries and regions such as South Korea and Southeast Asia, enriching more than 3,000 villagers.
