5th Red Shazhou Nai-plum Cultural Festival opens

Recently, the 5th Red Shazhou Nai-plum Cultural Festival was opened at Shazhou Village, Rucheng County. The businessmen, tourists, reporters, internet celebrities across China gathered at Shazhou Village with local residents, enjoying the fresh plums and embracing the grand nai-plum cultural festival.

With more than 30 years history of planting nai-plums, Rucheng County has 62,000 mu (4,133 hectares) of plums this year, 40,000 mu (2,667 hectares) of which bear fruits. It is estimated that the yield will reach 80,000 tons with the annual output value of about 800 million yuan.
 
With its features like large size, beautiful shape, plump and crisp pulp as well as sweet taste, the golden plums and the emerald plums are particularly favored by consumers, making the main producing area Wenming Yao Village win the title of “Hometown of Chinese nai-plum”.

In order to enhance the production and marketing of Nai-plum, Rucheng County has held the Nai-plum cultural festivals for 5 consecutive years since 2018.
 
The internet-famous site “Red Shazhou” has attracted nearly a thousand of local residents and tourists to come and take photos. The Folk Square also held a photography exhibition and an article exhibition of nai-plum. Dozens of live streaming stalls lined up along the square.

There were nearly a hundred of internet-celebrities and e-commerce platforms launching live streaming sessions for the promotion of local products. It also invited internet celebrities with great popularity to do a live-streaming demonstration, attracting tens of thousands of netizens and tourists on the site to buy products.
 
More than 20 rural performers danced the bamboo dance and folk dance, drawing large audiences to join in and making the scene a sea of joy.
 
With three parts known as entertaining participants with nai-plum, nai-plum of Shazhou and the promotion of nai-plum, the party proceeded gradually and clearly presented the theme and highlights.

The publicity and marketing video of nai-plum festival, the promotional video for the development of nai-plum industry, the endorsement from the chairmen of the Chambers of Commerce in Rucheng County and the thrilling publicity video of “nai-plum king” competition together with the brilliant characteristic cultural performances brought about a splendid visual experience for audience.
 
According to the statistics, during the cultural festival, there were 36 teams participating in the live streaming, which attracted over 12.5 million viewers, and the reports on social platforms like Wechat, Douyin and Weibo were read more than 56.1 million times.
 
The festival drove tens of thousands of tourists to Shazhou Village on that day, with 115,000 kilograms of products sold on the site and over 290,000 kilograms through live streaming. There were about 10 contracts signed with traders who agreed to purchase about 15.3 million kilograms of plums.
