Cao Yong, a young man from Tangmen Village, Yongxing County, used to work as a senior executive in Shenzhen. When he returned to his hometown in 2020, Cao found this natural cave in Xiangzhou Village surrounded with lush grass, which is very suitable for breeding goats.

After investigation, he decided to set a sheepfold in the cave and invested 360,000 yuan to buy 30 ewes and 3 breeding rams.

Cao Yong’s goats are fed on grass and spring water, so the mutton is fresh and firm and has no mutton odour. A goat can be sold for about 1,500 to 1,800 yuan.

Cao Yong has sold more than 100 goats and received a considerable income since last year. Next, he wants to improve the quality of goats while controlling the scale of goat farming, so as to protect the ecological balance for sustainable goat farming.
