The 52-year-old Li Junqiang is tall with long arms and a dark face. Li Junqiang started out in the transportation industry when he was young, and later built a beautiful villa in the village.

 

Since 2006, he has contracted 420 mu (28 hectares) of paddy fields in the village to grow double-crop rice, and become a large grain farmer. He established a professional agricultural machinery cooperative, purchased agricultural machinery such as dryers, rice mills, and large tractors, built a 500-square-meter grain warehouse, and provided job opportunities for more than 10 registered poor households.  

 

In 2017, he established “Yizhang Junqiang Family Farm”. His scientific and careful management made the farm better, and the rice and vegetable products are favored by the market. Junqiang Family Farm was rated as a municipal demonstration family farm. 

 

In 2022, apart from more than 6.67 hectares of rice, Li mainly grows greenhouse vegetables. He plants corns, vegetables, raise more than 10 sows and more than 60 pigs. It’s estimated that the farm can achieve an income of more than 500,000 yuan. 

 

Li’s family farm created job opportunities for more than 20 villagers, and led more than 10 local villagers to grow more than 6.67 hectares of vegetables. In recent years, after working in the farm, farmers can not only get a monthly salary of more than 2,000 yuan, but also receive a rent of 400 yuan per year after transferring their land to the farm.
