Hunan’s China-Europe freight trains exceed 1,000 last year

2022-09-20
The number of China-Europe freight trains exceeded 1,000 last year in Hunan Province, ranking top in China. Now, the China-Europe Railway Express (Changsha) is applying for a national assembly center.

With the goal of building a transit hub in the RCEP region and gateway hub to Africa, 4 new freight routes were opened between Hunan and Asia since April this year. The cargo freight route between Hunan and Africa was opened for the first time. The Hunan-Guangdong-Africa rail-sea intermodal transport has successfully opened regional services to Africa, ASEAN, Latin America, etc. Huaihua has opened the first two-way train service to Lao’s Vientiane, and Vietnam’s Hanoi in Central China. The waterway containers of Chenglingji Port in Yueyang City also grew steadily.

After investigation, a special principle for the development of international logistics was put forward, and 5 international logistics channels and freight assembly centers will be built. The province and relevant cities will provide policies and resources for the assembly centers. Enterprises can enjoy more cost-effective and efficient services and further reduce costs by using the transportation services of the assembly centers.

Next, the local commerce authority of the province will promote the coordinated development of China Railway Express and the ASEAN freight train service, and jointly promote the integrated operation of logistics with Nansha Port in Guangzhou and Yantian Port in Shenzhen, so that Hunan’s international logistics channel system will play a greater role in building a hub of reform and opening up in the inland area.
