There are nine villages (zhai), four caves, three temples, two rivers and one spring in Feitian Mountain National Geopark. Within the scenic area, there are many Danxia rocks, ravines, as well as scattered villages and caves. Tiansheng Bridge, the “first bridge of Danxia in China”, shows the nature’s ingenuity. Various activities like barbecue, kite flying and music festivals can be done at Twin Tree Star Camp, where there are 100 mu (6.67 hectares) of roses.

 

In recent years, the popularity of camping tourism has continued to rise. In the wild, a variety of camping activities like “RV + camping” and “concert + camping” are popular with the urban people.

 

 

 

On August 21, the Happy Tour Camping Base opened in Shizishan Village, Wugaishan Town, Suxian District. The camping base is equipped with camp lights and barbecue grills. This comprehensive cultural and tourism project aims to turn Lion Mountain, a secret land, into another “Shangri-La”, making Lion Mountain transform from the traditional farming and breeding industries to tourism.

 

Thanks to the overall planning of the local government, camping bases like Wild Camping Base and Wangxianling RV Town with distinctive themes and diverse styles have found their way out.

 

 

How can the cultural tourism of Suxian District go farther?

 

Chenzhou City has determined the position of Suxian District, making it the city’s reception room, a leader in opening up, a main position of science and education, as well as the new cultural and tourism landmark.

Tiantang Hot Spring Holiday Village used to be the recuperation base for the Chinese women’s volleyball team. Its geothermal resources rank second in the country. The constant temperature of the spring water is 52 degrees Celsius. A hot spring town can be the best cure to heal the body and mind.

Three corridors refer to Chenjiang Urban Cultural Tourism Consumption Corridor, Xihe River Rural Ecological Sightseeing Corridor and Hunan-Guangdong Ancient Road Red Cultural Theme Corridor.
