In September, the Yao people were dressed in ethnic costumes, singing and dancing to celebrate the national unity and progress publicity month at Qunyao Village, Bamianshan Yao Ethnic Township, Zixing City.

 

 

 

 

In recent days, various activities have been held in the city, like folk culture performances, sports games, food tasting and ethnic knowledge into schools.

 

 

 

 

There are 25 ethnic minorities including Yao, Miao and Tujia in Zixing City, with the population about 4,500. The Panwang Festival of the Yao ethnic group in Zixing City has been listed as a representative item of the national intangible cultural heritage. Next, Zixing City will also take this publicity month as an opportunity to promote national unity along with other work.
