In Shazhou Village, Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, there are scenic spots like the special exhibition hall of “the Warmth of Half a Quilt”, Red Army Bridge, Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Base and Hetian Park, as well as Shazhou Branch of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Party School. Diversified tourism projects like cultural tourism, agricultural tourism and industrial tourism have been developed.

 

 

As a red scenic area, Shazhou Village is suitable to carry out activities such as education on the history of revolution, study tours of Red education, rural tourism, outdoor development, and science popularization. 

 

It’s not just Shazhou Village gaining popularity. In Lijia Natural Village, Chaoyang Village, Zhenghe Town, Guiyang County, the story of the Red Army’s overnight stay in Lishan without taking a piece of the crowd has been spread throughout Hunan. In the Former Site of the South Hunan Uprising Headquarters, there are tourists who listen carefully. In 2021 alone, the Former Residence of Xiao Ke in Jiahe County received about 100,000 tourists.

 

 

Chenzhou is an old revolutionary base area with 161 key Red tourism sites. A number of proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation left their glorious footprints here.

 

Jiahe County has comprehensively developed Red bases including the Former Site Group of the South Hunan Uprising, the Former Residence of Xiao Ke, the Martyrs Cemetery, the Yin Zishao Tomb, the Red Army Tomb and the Red Army Tree to create a cultural brand for Red tourism.

 

 

Yongxing County has compiled “Yongxing Red Stories Collection” to record popular revolutionary stories and distributed the volumes to all units.

 

Rucheng County has refined more than 310 Red historical stories, and produced more than 220 Red feature films, micro Party lectures, short videos and micro films. Literary and artistic works have been created such as the situational song and dance drama “Half a Quilt”.

 

 

In order to make better use of Red resources and inherit Red genes, Chenzhou City has released the “Xiangnanhong” Red tourism boutique route. Development measures on Red tourism have been taken like “Red + industry”, “Red + functional area”, “Red + public facilities”, “Red + countryside” according to local conditions.

 

 

Efforts have been made to develop a spatial pattern of red tourism with “one core, one center, three belts and eight districts”, so as to further polish the Red tourism brand of “Xiangnanhong”.
