Hunan elements shine in ‘Forging Ahead in the New Era’ exhibition

Recently, an exhibition on the theme of “Forging Ahead in the New Era” at the Beijing Exhibition Hall has welcomed numerous visitors.
In the local exhibition area, the Hunan Pavilion gives full expression of the charm of Hunan Province through physical models, pictures, charts and interactive videos, receiving more than 40,000 visitors during the National Day holiday.
Covering an area of 200 square meters, the Hunan Pavilion is divided into 5 sections of Targeted Poverty Alleviation, Regional Positioning, New Advantages for Development, River Protection and Talents. It includes more than 60 pictures, over 70 physical objects, 7 models, 4 display screens and 2 interactive devices.
The audience found every exhibit characteristic of Hunan, enabling them to learn about Hunan’s fruitful results achieved in the past decade in a few minutes.
The landmark stone of “Targeted Poverty Alleviation” is in sight first in the Hunan Pavilion. Starting from the poverty elimination in Shibadong Village, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture has set a lively example for China’s poverty eradication.
In addition, the Regional Positioning section focuses on the regional advantages of Hunan to accelerate the formation of a new development pattern with a rational structure, optimized methods, regional coordination, and integration of urban and rural areas.
The New Advantages for Development section displays the models of mechanical equipment independently developed by Hunan enterprises and vividly shows Hunan’s impressive accomplishments in building an important national advanced manufacturing hub. It also demonstrates Hunan’s contribution to the world with a “seed wall” consisting of 99 major crop seeds.
The River Protection section revolves around the the Yangtze River, Dongting Lake, Xiangjiang River, the Zijiang River, the Yuanjiang River and the Lishui River, manifesting a beautiful new Hunan where man and nature coexist in harmony.
Through the interactive screens, the Talents section demonstrates Hunan’s practice and experience in passing down the red gene from generation to generation by making the most of revolutionary cultural relics and ruins.
The “Forging Ahead in the New Era” exhibition was launched on September 27, with the preface hall, the central comprehensive exhibition area, the local exhibition area, the outlook exhibition area, the outdoor exhibition area and the interactive exhibition area. “Hunan elements” are ubiquitous in the exhibition hall.
According to statistics, more than 40 pictures and physical models with Hunan elements are displayed in the 12 sections of the central comprehensive exhibition area.
