More than 10 villagers are planting vegetables at the Yizhang Shunheng Agricultural Planting Base in Litou Village. The green white gourds hanging on the vines are popular in Guangdong Province. 

 

Most of villagers working in the base are women or elderly people who cannot go out to work. 

 

 

Taking advantage of its geographical advantages, Yizhang Shunheng Agricultural Planting Base was introduced in the village, and a whole agricultural industrial chain integrating production, processing, storage, logistics and export trade was built. Organic vegetables such as cabbage, asparagus and Chinese cabbage are planted and sold to the Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area. 

 

Litou Village has transferred more than 900 mu (60 hectares) of land to the vegetable base, which can bring nearly 400,000 land transfer fees to the village level collective economy every year. The vegetable base also creates more than 120 job opportunities for villagers. 

 

 

To promote agricultural production in autumn and winter in an orderly manner, Litou Village has taken a series of measures to help villagers increase income. 

 

Next, Litou Village will further strengthen its agricultural technology service to guide autumn and winter planting in the field, attract more able people and business elites to return to their hometown for development, so as to constantly expand the village level collective economy and help farmers increase income.
