Vegetables help villagers increase income

The photos taken on October 26 show villagers picking vegetables in Xiangjiangyuan Vegetable Base in Xiache Village, Jiahe County, Chenzhou City.
These vegetables will reach the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The base produces more than 4,000 tons of vegetables every year with annual sales of more than 30 million yuan. It has provided over 160 jobs and solved the employment problems for over 370 people.
In recent years, Jiahe County has made full use of its unique soil and climate advantages, adopted the model of “base+corporation+farmer”, vigorously developed the vegetable planting industry and promoted the integration of agriculture and tourism industry, helping villagers increase income and contributing to rural revitalization.
