It has been listed among “China’s Best Ecological Tourism Demonstration Counties”, “China’s Best Summer Resort Tourism Counties” and “China’s Most Beautiful Counties”, and has won the title of “Safe County in Hunan Province” for 21 consecutive years. Guidong has become an ideal place for leisure, summer vacation and wellness.

 

Guidong actively participated in the “Chenzhou Merchants Conference” and Cross-Border Electronic Commerce Conference and held the signing activity for Hunan merchants returned. It helped the enterprises solve difficulties and coordinated the municipal- and county-level industrial and commercial departments to complete the industrial and commercial registration of foreign-funded enterprises. It undertook the development and reform filing of 31 domestic funded projects as well as the approval of resource and energy projects such as Xinlong, Daling wind power and Pingshui hot spring.

 

Since this year, Guidong County has signed 6 major investment projects worth more than 200 million yuan, completed an investment of 5.055 billion yuan, implemented 6 projects, started 5 new projects, incorporated a new foreign-funded company and introduced China Energy Engineering Investment Corporation Limited, one of the world’s top 500 enterprises.

 

From January to April, January to May, and January to August, the growth rate of domestic capital in Guidong County ranked first in Chenzhou City.

 

 

 

On September 13, 25 newly introduced talent in Guidong County took the oath of making contributions to the construction of “four cities” (national safe city, provincial new ecological city, national wellness city and national happy city).

 

After the launch of the construction of “four cities”, Guidong has continuously optimized the business environment and improved work efficiency.

 

Industry is the key to rural revitalization. According to its actual situation, Guidong has relied on the ecological advantages to consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation and promote rural revitalization.

 

 

 

81 work teams of 222 people were dispatched to the villages to carry out pairing assistance. Great efforts have been made to develop characteristic agriculture, build 43,600-hectare bases of tea, medicinal herbs, vegetables and high-quality rice, and drive the farmers in the county to increase income. Such leading agricultural enterprises as Guangyu Agriculture, Zhongyi Bamboo and Wood have provided jobs for 35,000 people.

 

Now there are buses in the villages, which facilitate the travel of villagers. Mountain products can be directly delivered to the county and sold in Chenzhou City.

 

The owners of homestay inns have been urged to further standardize their management, in an effort to improve the surrounding environment and promote high-quality development of the tourism industry.

 

 

 

On August 18, the launching ceremony of “Chenzhou Tourism Development Conference Guidong Venue and Guidong Wellness Summer Resort Festival” was held in Qingzhu Village, Guidong County. The boutique tourist route of “Shazhou-Shatian-Qingzhu” was released.

 

At present, the surrounding environment renovation project of such cultural relic units under provincial-level protection as the Wanshou Palace, Shatian Stage and Tongyidian and the cultural tourism projects like Guidong Wanyang Mountain Qiuli health care, Guoyue Guidong wellness tourism and Qinchun Park health care have been promoted in an orderly way.

 

 

 

According to incomplete statistics, from January to September this year, Guidong County received 2.1912 million tourists and realized a comprehensive tourism income of 1.818 billion yuan.

 

The ecological advantages are the basis for Guidong to promote the high-quality development of its economy. The county has vigorously promoted the development of green ecological industries, helped farmers increase their income and constantly improved people’s sense of gain and happiness.

 

On September 15, the capacity expansion project of No. 1 Middle School in Guidong County, the construction projects of Guangyu traditional Chinese medicinal herbs planting base and the nine-year compulsory education school in Zhaiqian Town were completed, with a total investment of 880 million yuan.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, the kindergartens in Guidong County, China Railway Zhenxing Avenue and Oujiang domestic waste landfill expansion and quality improvement project have started their construction, with a total investment of 368 million yuan. An investment of 130 million yuan is planned to be completed this year.
