Chenzhou’s achievements in economy in first three quarters

Recently, Chenzhou released its economic report for the first three quarters of 2022, during which time the city achieved remarkable results in 17 major economic indicators and saw a robust recovery in its economy.

 

Since the beginning of this year, Chengzhou has coordinated epidemic prevention and economic development, and accelerated the implementation of a package of policies and measures to stabilize the economy. 
 
The growth rate of 7 indicators ranked first in Hunan Province, such as gross regional domestic product, total retail sales of social consumer goods and actual utilization rate of foreign capital.
 
The growth rate of such 4 indicators as fixed asset investment, local fiscal revenue, per capita disposable income of urban residents and the total number of tourists received by the city ranked second. 3 indicators also ranked second in the province, including the total number of tourists received by the city, the total tourism revenue of the city and the total amount of foreign capital actually used.
 
The growth rate of local tax revenue and gross output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery of the city ranked third in the province.
 
Meanwhile, the economic performance of Chenzhou City in the first three quarters also showed a positive trend. The agricultural economy has developed well, with 86 new product bases supplying vegetables to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. A total of 212 bases have been built, with its number ranking second among the cities in China.
 
The population of the sows with the reproductive capability has reached 377,600. 10 restaurants have been opened and 4 e-commerce sales platforms established.
 
The industrial production has contributed a lot. The industrial added value has contributed 37.2% to the city’s GDP growth, 5.3% higher than the same period last year. A total of 30 provincial “little giant” enterprises have been added.
 
The emerging service industry has seen a strong momentum of development. The revenue of service enterprises related to the digital economy above designated size and scientific and technological service enterprises above designated size has increased.
 
Focusing on the development concept of “inviting fellow townsmen to return and build their hometown”, Chenzhou has continuously encouraged Hunan businessmen to return to the city to start their businesses.
 
Great efforts have been made to develop relevant industries. The newly introduced projects from the three categories of world’s Top 500 enterprises, the projects invested by Hunan businessmen returning to Chenzhou and major investment projects have all exceeded the annual target.
