On November 9, in Chaping Yao Village of Zixing City in Hunan Province, the Yao people sang and danced to celebrate the traditional Panwang Festival.

In recent years, Zixing City has attached great importance to the protection and inheritance of the Yao culture, and taken effective measures to carry forward the traditional customs and culture of the Yao people, such as the “Sacrifice Ceremony for Redeeming a Vow to Panwang”, the Yao songs and the Yao long-drum dance. In June 2021, the Panwang Festival of the Yao people of Zixing City was included on the list of national intangible cultural heritage items.
