“I have planted 659 mu (about 43.93 hectares) of rapes. Agricultural technicians will not only teach me the techniques of planting rapes, but also tell me the relevant national policies. The rapes are growing well now,” said Huang Chengguo, a manager of the rape planting base in Wenxi Village.

 

 

In order to keep the yield and supply of rapes stable, Nanqiang Town has organized agricultural technicians to visit the fields for many times to popularize relevant policies and distribute technical materials. Farmers have seized the time to complete the task of rape planting in autumn and winter. 

 

 

Up to now, Nanqiang Town has built 7 rape seedling growing bases with an area of over 15 mu (1 hectares) in such villages as Wenxi, Gushan, Yuanfu and Tiantou, and 5 rape demonstration bases with an area of over 100 mu (about 6.67 hectares), including 1 demonstration base with an area of more than 500 mu (about 33.33 hectares). The total area has reached more than 7,000 mu (about 466.67 hectares). The task of rape planting this year has been fully completed.
