On December 2, in the rain and snow, Huang Caiwen, the person in charge of Caiwen Family Farm, checked the growth of rape in the rape base in Dawangzhai Village, Tangdong Subdistrict, Zixing City.

 

 

Huang Caiwen carried out the rice-rape rotation this year, which means that after harvesting more than 300 mu (20 hectares) of rice and vegetables, the land will be ploughed for rape planting.

 

Since Huang Caiwen set up a family farm in 2015, a villager named Li Xiuqin has been working there. For eight years, she and her sick husband Huang Xiaoming have sent their two daughters to college and renovated the house by their wages from working on the farm.

 

They are now living a comfortable life. Huang Caiwen’s family farm has achieved good economic and social benefits and was rated as a “provincial model family farm”. 

 

In Tangdong Subdistrict, there are many large growers like Huang Caiwen who develop the agricultural industry by transferring land. The subdistrict relies on the development mode of “leading enterprises + cooperatives + bases + farmers” to build a green agricultural industry and drive farmers to increase production and income.

 

Since this year, Tangdong Subdistrict has organically integrated the development of village level collective economy and the increase of farmers’ income, giving full play to the “blood making” function of grass-roots party organizations. It has formulated plans and detailed rules to guide the establishment of the Party branch farm.

 

 

Through the scientific layout of the five characteristic industries of “fish, pig, lotus, fruit and vegetable”, it has focused on promoting the development of Bingtang orange industry with Tiantangping Bingtang orange base as the center, further expanded the planting scale of lotus seeds, and actively promoted the cooperation between Gaopai Village and Chengcheng Company to develop Dongjiang fish breeding base, so as to make the traditional advantageous industry bigger and stronger.

 

At the same time, it is necessary to “transfuse blood” to the grassroots in a timely manner. It has planned to integrate all kinds of support funds for the countryside, supervised the grass-roots party organizations to activate the idle collective assets, changed “waste” into treasure, and developed the village level collective economy.

 

In addition, it has guided Luqiao Village and Xianghua Village to undertake small rural public infrastructure projects of less than 2 million yuan.

 

With Tiantangping Bingtang Orange Base, Shigu Strawberry Base, Xingtang Mulberry Base, and Xingtang Fig Base as carriers, village level collective economic organizations have led the establishment of rural tourism economic entities to drive the village collective economy and increase villagers’ income.

 

Tangdong Subdistrict has also paid attention to “invigorating blood” for the grassroots. With the joint stock of the “village, group and enterprise”, in which the group inputs resources and the village provides services, it has actively explored the business model of economic cooperatives, and made good use of natural resources to build agricultural (forest) product planting and breeding bases.
