Recently, due to the large number of people infected with COVID-19, Matian Town of Yongxing County provided “shared medicine boxes” for patients to meet their urgent needs for anti-epidemic medicines.
There are thermometers, antipyretics, cough medicines, Ibuprofen tablets and Lianhua Qingwen capsules in the medicine boxes.
“I learned that many families whose children have high fever couldn’t buy medicines, so I thought I could take out my reserve medicines to help them,” said Yuan Lijun, a villager in Songjia Village.
On the morning of December 25, Lei Yuxian, a disabled person in Songjia Village, had a fever accompanied by sore throat and other symptoms. However, there were no medicines at his home. Fortunately, he got fever drugs from the “shared medicine boxes”.
Up to now, more than 230 cadres and volunteers in the town have offered medicines for the “shared medicine boxes”. Meanwhile, Matian Town has also sought help from pharmacies and clinics to get drugs.
