Shuiyuezhou Square in Beihu Park was bustling with activity on the evening of December 31. The New Year cultural activity was held.

Master calligraphers from Beihu wrote spring couplets and cut papers of character “Fu” for the public in the cold wind.

“Ode to Pear Blossoms” and others performed by Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe won burst of applause from the audience. In addition, the musical light show made a strong impression on the audience.
