Among them, tungsten, bismuth, tin, fluorite and other reserves are among the top in the world, and the reserves of microcystalline graphite account for 70% of the world. Chenzhou is known as the “hometown of nonferrous metals in China”, “the capital of microcystalline graphite”, “the capital of silver in China”, “the city of ornamental stones and the capital of mineral crystals in China”.

Since 2022, the city has given priority to the nonferrous metal industry, and issued relevant action plans to promote the high-quality development of the nonferrous metal industry. It has also focused on building a national rare and precious metal industrial cluster, a national nonferrous metal new material industrial cluster, and a “Yongxing Model” for green development, recycling and low-carbon transformation.

Yongxing County, capital of silver in China, aims to build the “Yongxing Model” of rare and precious metals, with an industrial output value of 85 billion yuan in 2022. The county’s rare and precious metal industrial cluster successively ranked among the national characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises at the end of 2022.

At present, there are more than 1,000 nonferrous metal enterprises in Chenzhou, and the city’s operating revenue of the nonferrous metal industry is expected to reach 103 billion yuan in 2022.
