In 2023, for the development of the market, “it is pivotal to boost confidence”. During the two sessions of Hunan Province, Zhou Xiaoyang, deputy to the Provincial People’s Congress, deputy secretary of Rucheng County Party Committee and county mayor, told reporters that they will start the work from three aspects, namely expanding domestic demand, boosting consumption and optimizing the business environment, to boost confidence and stabilize growth.
Consumption is one of the three drivers of the economic growth, and Zhou Xiaoyang believes that it is important to prioritize the restoration and expansion of consumption by issuing a new round of consumption vouchers, organizing special events such as e-commerce consumption festival and cultural tourism festival, creating a number of key business districts and special blocks, and developing the night-time economy to heat up the business atmosphere and popularity.
This year Chenzhou City will host the second Hunan Provincial Tourism Development Conference, for which Rucheng will launch preferential initiatives such as ticket price reduction and ticket-free in scenic spots to promote consumption and branding.
At the same time, it will strongly support the exhibition and promotion activities for housing, new energy vehicles, home appliances and other bulk commodities. Consumption will be stimulated through measures such as improving product quality and combating counterfeit products.
Zhou Xiaoyang said that in terms of expanding domestic demand, they will also vigorously promote the early implementation of a number of major projects and key projects to drive economic growth and expand the scale of investment driven by project construction.
Rucheng, located at the intersection of Hunan, Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces, is a bridgehead connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in southern Hunan. It has significant geographical advantages in attracting investment and undertaking industrial transfer.
Zhou Xiaoyang said that they would continue to optimize the business environment and carry out preferential activities to create a stable, fair and transparent business environment for market entities to invest in the industry. It will also continue to deepen the reform of “streamline administration and delegate power, improve regulation, and upgrade services”, facilitate “one thing at a time”, promote data sharing for “cross-province affairs handling, in an effort to provide a good environment for enterprises.
