At the site of the first domestic service job fair in Chenzhou city, a domestic worker from Beihu District said excitedly: “Many thanks to my hometown for providing such a good job opportunity for rural women, I can get a baby nurse job.”
At the job fair, skills of domestic services such as “infant passive exercise” and “using wheelchair to transfer semi-disabled elderly” on the spot were showed. More than 100 domestic workers had “face-to-face” exchanges with customers, and more than 60 domestic service agreements such as childcare and home care were reached, and more than 50 people were employed.
From February to April, this kind of job fairs will be held once a week in Chenzhou Sincere Housekeeping Service Employment Supermarket, to build a “one-stop” service platform for both the supply and demand of domestic services.
Since Chenzhou City was listed as the demonstration city for domestic service industry in 2019, Chenzhou Women’s Federation has actively cooperated with the commercial department to lead domestic service associations and enterprises to do a good job in training and employment, network platform and physical operation, market operation and public service.
It smoothed the closed loop management of domestic service, domestic entrepreneurship, special recruitment, skill training, network service and labor export.
Domestic enterprises were organized to seek cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. A series of Chenzhou brands such as Chenzhou Maternity Matron were created, which were unanimously praised by customers in the GBA.
At present, Chenzhou has opened a direct employment channel for domestic service workers from Chenzhou to Guangdong, Fuzhou, and Shenzhen. Over the past three years, Chenzhou has exported 42,000 domestic service workers to the GBA, helping rural women to achieve high-quality employment and entrepreneurship.
