The species of fish fry released this time are selected according to the water quality of the reservoir. Through scientific combination of different kinds of fish, the organic matter in the water body is removed with fish fry.   

 

Panjiang Reservoir is the largest medium-sized reservoir in Jiahe county, and is now the central water source of Jiahe’s urban and rural areas. It’s located in the northern foot of Nanling Mountains. 

 

 

It’s a medium-sized water conservancy project built in the early 1970s, covering an area of 160 hectares, with a total storage capacity of 30.3 million cubic meters. It can irrigate 5,000 hectares of farmland in seven townships of the county, and provide living water for the county seat and more than 100,000 people along the way. 

 

 

This fry release can protect the water resources of the reservoir, improve the water ecological environment, and maintain the aquatic biodiversity of the reservoir.
