Early rice seedling cultivation in Rucheng County

Recently, the agricultural technicians of Rucheng County Agricultural and Rural Bureau, together with the investigation group of concentrated early season rice seedling cultivation in Hunan Province, visited and inspected the early rice seedling cultivation work in the whole county, and instructed the technology and experience in the fields for the high yield and good harvest.
In the seedling cultivation greenhouses in Qiaotou Village and Jilong Village of Jiyi Township, agricultural experts checked the greenhouses and the seedlings, and taught farmers to raise early rice seedlings face to face.
The experts explained patiently to the farmers from presoaking to accelerating germination, seeding and seedling management, and the farmers listened carefully.
After listening to the suggestions, Yu Jiusheng, a large grain grower, immediately removed the unqualified rice trays with other farmers, paved the substrate again and sent them into the dark room to promote germination.
At present, his cooperative has completed seedling cultivation for more than 1,700 mu (113.33 hectares) of farmland.
In recent years, Rucheng County has vigorously promoted the transformation from traditional seedling cultivation to centralized seedling cultivation, which requires technical support.
This year, Rucheng County Agricultural and Rural Bureau will organize a team to carry out guidance work in 8 key early rice production towns in the county, in order to solve the difficulties in early rice seedling cultivation, stabilize the area of early rice at more than 38,000 mu (2,533.33 hectares), and promote the stable development of grain production.
