Fresh tea buds are waiting to be harvested on the tea trees scattered throughout the mountains.

At the Chunlu tea plantation of Tianyuan Agriculture Technology Co., Ltd. in Shuidong Town, Linwu County, lush green tea trees exude a unique and refreshing aroma. Farmers, with their baskets in hand, are dispersed throughout the fields, skillfully plucking the tender new leaves from branches according to standard techniques.

The freshly picked tea leaves are immediately sent to the withering and fixation workshops, where tea’s aroma can be enhanced with high temperatures destroying the enzyme activity in the tea leaves. Then, the tea leaves are sent to the roasting workshop, where excess moisture is removed to preserve the best quality and make the tea more durable.

The entire process is carried out in a sealed environment with mechanized operations, ensuring both quality and efficiency.

The tea plantation is said to utilize organic fertilizer and manual weed removal, in addition to benefiting from a unique geographic location and humid climate, which explains why its tea trees have now reached their prime production period after a decade of growth.

Furthermore, the tea is harvested using the most traditional manual tea-picking techniques, ensuring that the tea leaves remain intact and fresh, making it a popular choice among customers.

It has assets worth 4.8 million yuan and boasts over 200 mu (about 13.33 hectares) of tea gardens and over 100 mu (about 6.67 hectares) of tea-oil trees.

In 2018, it received prestigious gold awards in the “Tea Ancestor Shennong Cup” tea competition at the 10th Hunan Tea Expo for its black tea and green tea, which were highly praised by experts and peers alike.
