The experts explained key points of grafting techniques, including the selection of scions and rootstocks, grafting environment, common grafting methods, and after-grafting seedling care. With a towel gourd as the base variety, and a bitter gourd as the top variety, they demonstrated grafting approaches like cleft grafting and splice grafting and provided guidance for the cooperative staff on grafting exercises.

 

As a production base of the “Vegetable Basket” project for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a vegetable brand of “Xiangjiangyuan (origin of the Xiangjiang River)”, the cooperative boasts a sprawling 12,000-square meter high-standard seedling facilities and cutting-edge seedling technology, with an output exceeding six million prime vegetable seedlings.
