Shunhua Duck, the largest domestic production enterprise of shelducks, covers the whole industrial chain including breeding, processing, and trade. It has been honored with the “Flagship Enterprise in Agricultural Industrialization”, the “National High-tech Enterprise” and the “Key Enterprise in Agro-product Processing”.

 

 

As a vital role in the whole industry chain, its processing plant employs 326 female workers, up to 55.5% of its workforce, as mitigation efforts on surplus rural labor and the dilemma of rural women employment and left-behind children.

 

The selection of demonstration bases, jointly carried out by the provincial women’s federation and the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province, aims to encourage women to participate in rural industrial development, increase income by dint of technology, and accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, thereby driving rural revitalization.

 

 

Companies chosen will gain government support including special funds, technical guidance, training programs for top female employees, and industry-university-research collaboration.
