On April 7, the Characteristic Agricultural Products Exhibition kicked off in Yizhang County to promote its special agricultural products and enhance the brand influence of the products.
On the theme of supporting the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference to be held in Chenzhou and promoting rural revitalization, the exhibition attracts a total of 35 local exhibitors from the county and will last for half a month.
Fruit and food of various kinds such as navel oranges, tea, oil-tea camellias, smoked meat and honey, are displayed at the exhibition, attracting many citizens.
In recent years, the local authorities have vigorously developed the characteristic agriculture of Yizhang flavor. The advantageous characteristic agricultural industries, mainly navel oranges, tea leaves, and oil-tea camellias, have continuously been growing stronger.
At present, the county has planted 286,000 mu (about 19,066.67 hectares) of navel oranges, 66,000 mu (4,400 hectares) of tea and 110,000 mu (about 7,333.33 hectares) of oil-tea trees. It has developed more than 50 kinds of characteristic agricultural products, such as acorn tofu and Pinghe dried sweet potatoes. It has won the titles of the Hometown of Navel Oranges in China, one of the Top 100 Tea-producing Counties in China and the Advanced County for Grain Production in China. The regional public brand of “Yizhang Flavor” agricultural products has been created.
