The steady progress of major projects such as Kibing Glass has supported the high-quality development of Chenzhou’s industry. Chenzhou City has opened up a new way of development by creating six major industries exceeding 100 billion.

 

In the past year, Chenzhou City has undergone transformation and upgrading, with significant breakthroughs in industrial development. The added value of large-scale industries in the city increased by 8.4%, ranking first in Hunan Province.

 

 

Chenzhou has achieved six industries exceeding 100 billion. The scale of nonferrous metals has returned to 100 billion yuan after many years. The total amount of digital economy has exceeded 100 billion yuan for the first time. Chenzhou High-tech Zone and Yongxing Economic Development Zone have successfully created 100-billion-yuan parks. The total income of technology, industry and trade in the provincial-level parks and above in the city has surpassed 500 billion yuan. 37 provincial and 218 municipal key projects have completed 140.19% and 139.46% of the annual investment plan respectively, with a total amount higher than 100 billion yuan.

 

 

Chenzhou City is an old city with rich mines and “the hometown of nonferrous metals”. The nonferrous metal industry is one of the leading industries with the best resources, the strongest industrial foundation and the greatest development strength.

 

In recent years, Chenzhou City, based on industrial projects, has made efforts to promote enterprises to be more specialized and stronger, and create larger and better clusters. The nonferrous metal industry has transformed from raw mineral sales and primary smelting to deep processing and product manufacturing, striding toward the high-tech and high-end development.

 

 

In December 2022, Chenzhou City held a centralized signing ceremony for investment projects involving lithium resources. The cooperation agreements on relevant projects with a total amount of 34.3 billion yuan were reached between Guiyang County People’s Government and Ningxia Hanyao Fuli Technology Co., Ltd. as well as Dawei Technology Co., Ltd.

 

With abundant lithium mineral resources, Chenzhou City is establishing itself as a “battery city”.

 

Aligning with the goal, Chenzhou City has set up a leading group for the development of high specification battery industry and a coordination headquarters for battery industry construction, issued some documents and attracted business centering on the battery industry. The electronic, capacitor and battery industries have become an important driving force for innovation, transformation as well as upgrading, and economic development in the city.

 

 

According to statistics, Chenzhou has attracted the investment of more than 100 billion yuan in the lithium battery industry in the past six months based on lithium mineral resources. A new development pattern combining lithium mine, materials, batteries, consumer terminals for battery and recycling has been built.

 

Chenzhou City has also achieved great success in the digital economy. Last year, the total amount of digital economy in the city was estimated to reach 102 billion yuan, exceeding 100 billion yuan for the first time. 

 

Recently, the project of Dr. Peng Zixing Computing Center settled in Dongjiang Big Data Industrial Park. Since its establishment, the industrial park has attracted 62 enterprises, such as Hunan E-government Cloud, Bank of Changsha, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, and Taobao. The data storage business has covered government affairs, finance, and the Internet.

 

In recent years, “digital” has been a new driving force to promote the sustainable economic development of Chenzhou City.

 

 

2,777 new 5G base stations added within the year have covered villages, urban areas and key scenic areas. There are more than 50,000 10G-PON ports which can achieve full coverage of home gigabit optical network. The rates of online availability and matter settlement on city-level government services have reached 99.89% and 99.99% through hybrid government clouds. 251 government services across fourteen cities from five provinces have been available online. The “Action Plan of Chenzhou City to Improve Computing Support Capacity (2022-2025)” has been issued to fully promote the construction of Dongjiang Lake Big Data Industrial Park. Its computability and the storage capacity rank second in the province.

 

 

The project of Sany Heavy Energy Chenzhou Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park was signed within ten days, built a makeshift factory within 100 days and was put into production within 179 days, which shows the “Chenzhou Speed”.

 

Chenzhou City first selected 2,925 enterprise service specialists and project service specialists to provide “one-to-one” services for 3,154 enterprises and 1,368 key projects in the city. This practice was affirmed by the provincial government and promoted across the province.

 

 

After the spring festival holiday, the city leaders immediately carried out research on enterprises’ resumption of production and industrial economic increment. The relevant documents were issued to support the resumption of enterprises and the related situations were announced every day. On the 16th day of the first lunar month, 1,293 enterprises resumed production in the city (including continuous production enterprises), with a resumption rate of 100% (excluding enterprises planning to quit). Meanwhile, a special job fair was held to ensure the smooth production of enterprises.
