Tangcun Town has been a bustling market since ancient times. It carries the childhood and youth memories of many people in Tangcun Town and the surrounding areas.

 

 

Li Zhihua, Party secretary of Tangcun Town, introduced that the folk culture festival held in Lanjia Reservoir on May 27 attracted over 60,000 tourists, which promoted the folk culture of Tangcun Town and showcased the charm of the town.

 

An ancient market was presented to visitors during the festival, where tourists could taste the local specialties and snacks, such as Tangcun barbecue and rice tofu. There was also the exhibition and sales area for forging enterprises.

 

The forging industry of Tangcun Town has a long history, starting from in the Qin and Han dynasties and flourishing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. In recent years, Tangcun Town has devoted itself to the structural transformation, the industrial upgrading, and the replacement of old growth drivers with new ones. At the festival, more than 72 companies set up exhibition booths, showcasing nearly a hundred products in five major categories, including kitchenware, cutting tools, and various modern forging products, which attracted many tourists and those working in the forging industry. 

 

Li Zhihua noted that Tangcun Town will take the opportunity of the festival to further promote its folk culture, and make it a new landmark of cultural tourism.
