Folk cultural activities held to welcome Dragon Boat Festival

On June 21, various folk cultural activities were held to celebrate the approaching Dragon Boat Festival in Shazhou Village, Wenming Yao Township, Rucheng County, including the Zongzi (glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves) making competition.

 

At the site, villagers exchanged the skills of making Zongzi with tourists. In addition, other folk activities like the Yao bamboo pole dance, making glutinous rice cakes and embroidering were also carried out with occasional cheers and laughter.
