An innovative county (city, district) takes sci-tech innovation as a core driver in economic and social development. According to its multiple characteristic industries and competitive agricultural industry, Yongxing County compiled the Hunan Innovative County Construction Application with the theme of “sci-tech supporting industrial development”, and formed a working pattern with unified leadership of government, coordination of departments, participation of all parties and sci-tech innovation, so as to drive development by innovation.

 

In June this year, Yongxing County successfully passed the examination for the second batch of provincial innovative counties (cities, districts) with its achievements highly affirmed by the provincial leaders. 

 

 

This selection is not only an important result of Yongxing’s sci-tech innovation, but also a new starting point of the county’s innovation-driven and high quality development in the new era. Next, Yongxing County will centre around the “innovative county” construction and actively integrate into the major strategic construction of industrial relocation demonstration zones in South and West Hunan. It will give full play to its industrial basis and competitiveness to further establish and improve the innovation system, introduce and gather innovative resources, stimulate innovation vitality to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, in a bid to lay a solid foundation for being a national innovative county in the future.
