In recent years, Yongxing County has upgraded its traditional rare precious metals industry and achieved cleaner production through research, development and use of advanced environmental protection technology and process technology. What’s more, it has achieved results in resource utilization and environmental protection by building green parks and no-waste parks, and urging non-ferrous metal enterprises to build green factories at or above the provincial level with cleaner production standards.
In the batch furnace production workshop of Yongxing Pengkun Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., located in Bolin Industrial Park, a forklift loaded with waste slag and waste materials was shuttling back and forth to collect these dangerous organic wastes from all over the country, which are loaded into the batch furnace. A batch furnace is a kind of advanced clean production equipment, which can decompose organic components in waste materials to generate new value.
After upgrading the production equipment, perfecting the production process and improving the production environment, the dust emissions have been reduced by 30%, gas emissions have decreased by 40% and sewage pollution diversion has been up to 100%, so as to ensure good environment for the health of employees and the masses.
In order to realize greener and cleaner production, Yongxing County has kept on innovating the comprehensive governance system in recent years. It has implemented dynamic management for the rare and precious metals enterprises in the park in accordance with different categories. The county has also organized enterprises to carry out cleaner production audits, guide the construction of green factories, urge enterprises to deal with the dangerous solid waste according to the requirements to promote the effective circulation of rare and precious metal resources.
Based on the improvement of resource and energy utilization efficiency and cleaner production level in the manufacturing industry, Yongxing County will also promote the green development of the whole industrial chain and the whole life cycle of products by creating green factories, green products, green parks and green supply chains, in a bid to establish an efficient, clean, low-carbon and recycled green manufacturing system for rare and precious metals.
