Li Zhidong, Party secretary and director of Shicheng Village, Xingning Town, was busy in the vegetable field while sharing the joy of harvest with the farmers working in the field.

 

He told reporters that the farm covers an area of 220 mu (about 14.67 hectares), and vegetables such as eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, and bitter gourds are ready for picking now. Currently, the daily output of vegetables is more than 3,500 kilograms, and during the peak period, it can produce more than 10,000 kilograms of vegetables per day.

 

“The farm’s vegetables are exclusively for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the annual output value is expected to reach 2 million yuan this year, which can increase the income of the village collective economy by about 500,000 yuan,” said Li Zhidong having a smile on his face.
