In the fruit base of Difeng Agricultural Company, there are sweet and delicious alpine yellow peaches, and large and plump crown pears. Fruit farmers and tourists are busy picking, transporting, sorting, and packaging the fruits.

 

 

43.33-hectare yellow peaches and 20-hectare crown pears have been planted in the fruit base. About 300,000 kilograms of alpine yellow peaches and over 100,000 kilograms of crown pears came into the market in July this year.

 

However, much labor is required from the daily management like applying organic fertilizer, weeding and bagging to picking, bagging and delivering in the mature period. So it provides jobs for villagers from Sanhe Village, Qincai Village, Ganxi Village and other villages. 62 farmers work in the base, with their income increasing by nearly 20,000 yuan annually.

 

 

“Since the base began construction, I have been working here, mainly responsible for managing labor services, improving infrastructure, and other matters. I can earn over 2,000 yuan per month, which is quite good in rural areas.” Guo Siqing, a villager nearby, is very satisfied with his work.

 

In recent years, Xianghua Town has improved the infrastructure of the fruit base, held picking activities, and utilized online platforms to continuously expand the sales channels, which helped the base and the surrounding farmers increase income.

 

Meanwhile, it has continued efforts to promote rural development through industrial development, and motivate farmers to step on a sustainable path toward prosperity.
