More than 700 swimmers from all over the country competed in leisure swimming and competitive swimming, with a course of 600 meters. 

 

 

After intense competition, the Changsha Winter Swimming Association, Liuyang Swimming Sports Association, and Chenzhou Dongjiang Lake team won the top three places.

 

Dongjiang Bay is located in the downstream area of Dongjiang Lake and Xiaodongjiang River. It is a provincial-level tourist resort that combines cultural, health, and vacation functions. 

 

It is also the location of the Dongjiang Lake Big Data Industrial Park and the training and competition venue for canoeing and kayaking in Hunan Province.

 

 

The water here is calm and clear, with a summer water temperature of 8℃ to 12℃, and a temperature difference of 25℃ between air and water, making it possible for people to experience “winter swimming” in summer. 

 

With the unique cold water resources of Dongjiang Bay, Zixing City is committed to building the “Winter Swimming in Summer” sports brand to promote the development of tourism.

 

From January to June this year, Zixing City achieved a year-on-year growth of 61.7% in tourist arrivals and 64.1% in tourism revenue. The total tourism revenue and number of tourists both ranked first in Chenzhou City.
