The entire village was bathed in a festive atmosphere, attracting tourists from all over the country.

 

At the opening ceremony, more than 200 representatives from the ten villages and one community around Shazhou gathered together. Among them, the local planters of grain, Nai plum, yellow ginger, chili pepper, and tea shared the joy of the harvest on the stage.

 

The demonstration area for common prosperity in rural areas around Shazhou includes nine adjacent villages as well as Wenming Community.

 

Kuaile Village, with the investment of over 5 million yuan from the central budget, has built irrigation channels, tractor roads, drainage ditches, public toilets, laid drainage and sewage pipelines, renovated the fruit and vegetable industrial park of over 800 mu (about 53.33 hectares), built a Yao culture exhibition hall, and renovated over 10,000 square meters of characteristic residential buildings.

 

All households of the village were drying crops, attracting tourists from afar.

 

In Wenshi Village, Wenming Yao Township, the intricately arranged tie dyed fabric art made its “shaiqiu” (drying crops) unique and lively. The village has built more than 20 characteristic shops and 7 homestay inns which were converted from old and ancient residential buildings. These bring the rental income of 100,000 yuan and create more than 30 job opportunities for villagers every year, and increase an additional income of 50,000 yuan for the village collective.

 

 

“As a new highlight and attraction of the Dashazhou Scenic Area, Wenshi Village will provide a new demonstration and inject new vitality for revitalization of rural areas around Shazhou.” Chen Mianjie, head of Wenming Yao Township, said that   three 66.67-hectare fruit demonstration bases in Xiushui, Kuaile, and Wenshi villages have been established in the demonstration area for common prosperity in rural areas around Shazhou. Honeysuckle has been planted in villages such as Dongshan, Xiushui, and Kuaile.

 

Also, 4 scenic areas, 26 homestay inns, and 16 restaurants have been developed. In addition, some companies have been newly built, which provided 310 jobs, to help villagers to step on the path of common prosperity.
