“This year is a good harvest year, with a yield of 650 kg per mu (about 0.067 hectares). In addition, with good national policies, there are subsidies for purchasing seeds, fertilizers, agricultural machinery and tools, which greatly reduces production costs. For our family, just planting double cropping rice generates net income to over 100,000 yuan a year, and our life is getting better,” Li Junqiang said happily. 

 

 

In recent years, Yingchun Town of Yizhang County has taken a series of measures and favorable policies to cultivate large grain growers. This helps improve the industrialization and scale production capacity of the whole town’s agriculture, increase agricultural production and farmers’ income. 

 

Now, 10,824 mu (721.6 hectares) of late rice in the town are being harvested in an orderly manner, and it’s expected to be fully harvested by the end of October.

 

 

Next, the town will increase efforts to publicize related policies, better implement the policies that benefit farmers, stabilize grain production and ensure food safety to promote rural revitalization and lay a solid foundation for economic and social development of the town.
