

Photos taken on November 29 show that villagers are picking sugar oranges and loading them onto trucks at the fruit planting base of Longwang Village, Longtan Town, Jiahe County.
In early winter, over 1,200 mu (80 hectares) of sugar oranges in the village are ripe. Villagers are busy picking, sorting and transporting them to fruit markets nationwide, like Changsha and Guangzhou.
In recent years, relying on selenium-rich soil resources and superior natural environment, the county has established more than 60 fruit planting bases, achieving income increase in green economy and driving the development of agricultural industry.
