Shangjie Village sees vigorous development of tofu industry

In the early winter, in the newly built Longtanquan bean products processing factory in Shangjie Village, Anping Town, Anren County with an area of more than 8,000 square meters, more than 20 farmers are busy working on two production lines.
More than 10 kinds of tofu like soft tofu and oily bean curd, produced with unique Longtanquan water and high-quality soybeans through tofu making technique of Zhao family, are sold well inside and outside the province because of their delicious taste, and rich nutrition.
This is a new achievement Shangjie Village has made in its effort to transform “traditional advantages” into “economic advantages”.
In 2023, led by Longtanquan bean products processing factory, more than 2,000 mu (about 133.33 hectares) of soybean planting bases have been established in six villages including Shimen Village, Yantan Village, and Gaotian Village, with a yield of over 2,700 yuan per mu (about 0.067 hectares).
The factory has achieved an annual output value of over 15 million yuan in tofu processing, and provided jobs for 26 farmers, with a monthly salary of over 30,00 yuan. It increased the income of the village collective economy by 120,000 yuan.
Shangjie Village has developed a great industry out of the ancient tofu-making technique.
