At the opening ceremony, colorful cultural performances created a lively atmosphere; a video was displayed to show the citrus world; a citrus expert Deng Ziniu promoted the navel oranges of Yizhang County. A signing ceremony was also held, with 14,600 tons of navel oranges sold. The selection results of high-quality navel oranges were released and awards were presented. A series of activities such as short video competition and navel orange science popularization tour will be held during this festival. 

 

 

 

 

In recent years, the local government of Yizhang County has organized enterprises to participate in various national agricultural product fairs. Yizhang Navel Orange has won the gold award at the agricultural expo many times. It’s approved as one of Hunan’s top ten regional public brands in 2020.

 

 

 

Yizhang County is known as the hometown of navel oranges in China. The planting area of navel oranges has reached 297,000 mu (19,800 hectares), with an annual output of 235,000 tons and a comprehensive output value of 2 billion yuan. About 100,000 people in the county have benefited from the navel orange industry. Yizhang navel orange has become an advantageous industry for the county’s economic development and a golden business card for the county’s agricultural and rural development.
