When the first snowfall of 2023 arrived, which coincided with the Chinese Spring Festival holiday, as well as the hot sci-fi movie “The Wandering Earth II”, the popular tourist attraction “cloud elevator” in Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area, along with rime scenery and sea of clouds, drew hundreds of thousands of tourists nationwide. There were even tourists queuing up to enter the scenic area at night.

As a series of cultural and creative promotion activities like Lang Lang and Fang Jinlong Mangshan Space Concert and special train service for Ningxia tourists, Mangshan went viral in China.

Especially during the 2023 Spring Festival holiday, May Day, and Mid-autumn and National Day holidays, the ticket revenue of Mangshan Mountain Scenic Area ranked in the top three among the monitored scenic spots provincewide. It was also approved as one of Hunan’s 20 most popular tourist attractions in the GBA.

Scenic spots in Yizhang County have made unremitting efforts to provide thoughtful services for tourists and created a safe and happy travel for them. For example, tourists can feel the original mission at such Red attractions as Xiangnan year-end riots headquarters site, and experience agricultural culture in ancient villages like Layuan ancient village.

In 2023, taking the opportunity of the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference held in Chenzhou, Yizhang County worked to create cultural tourism brands, strengthen cultural tourism promotion, and vigorously promoted the construction of projects like Mangshan Mountain infrastructure, Yiliu Hot Spring Town and Mangshan Tunnel. The “Yizhang Night Story” parade event made crowds throng the streets. Various activities have ignited the enthusiasm of tourists and stimulated the vitality of the tourism market.
