Doing a good job in seedling cultivation is an important link in spring farming. 

 

In the past few days, at the Daxi Vegetable Farmers Professional Cooperative in Beihu District, the largest vegetable seedling breeding base around the urban areas of Chenzhou City, sowing has been done in strict accordance with technical requirements. 

 

“Now, we have built an intelligent seedling greenhouse with an automated spray temperature controlling system covering 1,400 square meters, effectively improving work efficiency and enabling more precise control of the seedling growth environment.” Kuang Helin, head of the base, said that after the intelligent seedling greenhouse was put into use, the annual yield of the base has increased from 2 million plants to 6 million ones, with improvement in both quality and yield. 

 

Kuang Helin introduced that in recent years, the cooperative has been adjusting and optimizing its production and distribution model. This year, it has launched an order-based and market demand-based seedling cultivation model. This can solve the problem of being difficult to purchase seasonal vegetable seedlings in the past, and allow more vegetable farmers to buy affordable and high-quality seedlings. 

 

Apart from that, the cooperative also planted many vegetables and labeled them with “Xiangjiangyuan” regional public brand logos, which will be sent to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
