Characteristic industries are flourishing in Zhaiqian Town, Guidong County. 

 

 

 

On the high mountains of Huaicun Village, Zhaiqian Town, dark blue photovoltaic panels are arranged neatly, looking like sapphires embedded in a green ocean. This is the 400Kw photovoltaic power station construction project introduced by Huaicun Village last year. 

 

After the project is completed and connected to the grid, the village will obtain income according to the national unified electricity price. Dividend funds will be invested to improve the village’s infrastructure and the living environment, provide salaries for public welfare positions, build a civilized rural atmosphere, and offer assistance to disadvantaged groups.  

 

 

 

“The photovoltaic power generation industry in the village was connected to the state grid at the end of last year, with an annual power generation capacity of 320,000 volts and an annual income of 150,000 yuan. Through this project, we have built production buildings for rental, which can increase income by 20,000 yuan,” said Chen Jiandong, the village secretary.

 

Villagers are seen busy planting vegetables, and agricultural technicians from Zhaiqian Town provide technical guidance. 

 

 

 

Since the beginning of this spring, Xiangqi Agricultural Development Company has planted multiple varieties of vegetables such as cabbage, yellow cabbage and lettuce, laying the foundation for this year’s vegetable harvest. It has also helped over 150 surrounding villagers to increase income at their doorsteps. 

 

In recent years, relying on its unique geographical advantages, Zhaiqian Town has actively attracted investment, vigorously developed industries like characteristic planting, deep processing of agricultural and sideline products, wellness tourism and photovoltaic power generation, forming a diversified pattern of industrial development and a new path for industrial integration and development.
