2024 HK, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese media tour in Chenzhou

On the afternoon of March 23, more than 40 media professionals from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese media visited Chenzhou, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Danxia landform and the artistic charm of Hunan Kunqu.

The Gaoyi Ridge Scenic Area is the largest concentrated distribution area of Danxia landform discovered in China, with red rocks, green water, and unique streams.
 
Gaoyi Ridge was once a waste slag and fly ash disposal site for thermal power plants.

After comprehensive management such as source control, waste utilization, and greening, it has transformed into a popular tourist destination. 
 
The media workers praised the measures taken in Chenzhou to develop cycle industries and protect environment.
 
Chinese Kunqu art is one of the world’s first masterpieces of oral and intangible heritage of humanity. Hunan Kunqu is one of the traditional opera genres in Hunan Province. After the mid Ming Dynasty, Kunqu began to be popular in the Chenzhou area of Hunan.

During the visit, they gained a detailed understanding of the excavation, inheritance, and development process of Hunan Kunqu, and were impressed with the traditional Chinese operas with elegant lyrics, graceful melodies, and beautiful performances.
