During the 5-day May Day holiday, Beihu District of Chenzhou City continuously enriched cultural tourism business formats, created scenarios, improved tourists’ experience, and the service upgrading was obvious. A new pattern of cultural tourism in Beihu District is gradually taking shape.
During the 5-day May Day holiday, Beihu District of Chenzhou City saw 5 monitoring indicators rank the first in the city for five consecutive days, namely the tourist reception, comprehensive tourism income, total cultural tourism consumption, the proportion of cultural tourism consumption in the city.
In combination with local historical and cultural figures and special customs, staffs were organized to welcome tourists at the exit passage of Chenzhouxi Railway Station.
While telling the legends and historical stories related to characters, the pick-up groups warmly welcomed passengers and sent cultural and creative products and travel guides with Chenzhou characteristics to them.
In addition, the local government has strengthened consumption, transportation and voluntary services to improve the quality of tourism services. 60 scenic shuttle buses were added to meet the demand of tourists during the peak passenger flow.
A series of mass cultural and art activities and performances were held for over 100 times in cultural blocks, parks and scenic spots.
At the same time, the district also launched characteristic tourist routes like grassland fairy tale tour, city tour, rural tour, allowing tourists and citizens to feel the charm of Beihu District and experience local customs.
In addition to popular tourist attractions, the cultural and tourism consumption market was also heating up. Such first stores like The North Face, Haidilao, Fila and Starbucks gathered in around Beihu Park Business District, providing one-stop services for tourists, becoming the preferred place for consumption.
There were also various promotion activities in different business areas of Beihu District, with new consumption scenes and business forms to stimulate consumption.
